Jonathan Kettle

Jonathan has long maintained an active lifestyle and been deeply engaged in the mountain community- whether digging mountain biking and hiking trails or developing climbing routes. He treasures the Central Okanagan as one of Canada’s most remarkable and underrated climbing destinations.

He brings a strong passion for stewardship, community-building, and accessible crag development; striving to make climbing in the Okanagan both welcoming and sustainable for climbers of all backgrounds and abilities.

Jonathan joined COCA to protect recreational access to climbing areas, and to revitalize the association’s role for local climbers through events, outreach, and stronger engagement with the community it serves.

MEMBER AT LARGE

Hi, I’m Fabian, I’ve been living in Kelowna for the past 13 years, and every day I’m grateful for the chance I have to enjoy the traditional territories of the Syilx Okanagan Nation.

I go out as much as I can and climbing has become a necessity. My daughter has been climbing since she was a baby and I have to keep up. I joined COCA to help increase awareness of the importance of climbing in the Okanagan and to work on improving climbing access and infrastructure.

Liz Mutus

TREASURER

Liz is a mom of 3 who enjoys being outside! She loves spending time climbing, biking, and snowboarding. She began climbing in 2021 and has been hooked ever since.

Liz wanted to join COCA to try to promote climbing to the general public and to make climbing more welcoming, accessible and safe in the Okanagan.

Gary Athans

Gary is looking forward to helping make the locations better for this fantastic sport. He’s an avid climber 3 years in and loving it. He started to help build and maintain routes over last couple of years and is now heading the weekly climbing get togethers with the ACC group known as “The Rock Band”. A vast experience in a variety of thrilling sports, and climbing has got him locked in!
