Let Us Show You the Ropes

Here's a sneak peak of our most popular climbing areas. We have one of the longest climbing seasons in Canada; the brave can find the odd day in December-February. If you are new to the area, be sure to pick up a copy of the Kelowna Rock Guidebook.

Crags

KLO Creek

KLO is the newest major development within the Central Okanagan. This is the best area for warm days, you can always find something in the shade. Known to have an abundance of difficult routes. There is active route development in this area.

Lonely Crags

Lonely crags is comprised of four walls, you can spot these on your left as your drive toward Johns Family Park. This crag is now a stones throw from new housing developments.

Johns Family Park

This is the classic crag in the Central Okanagan and home of the best quality rock. A great place for beginners and routes up to 5.12. This area on land managed by the Regional District of Central Okanagan. Please obey the signs and stay on marked trails.

Christie Falls

This crag was first featured on the cover of Gripped Magazine when Adam Tutte established a hard mixed line. Some winters a spectacular pillar forms for ice climbing and mixed climbing. There have also been a few hard sport routes established from 5.12 to 5.14b. If you can't climb the grade it is still worth checking out!

Boulderfields

This is THE place to go bouldering, plus there is some really spectacular sport climbing. The rock is superb quality plus there is free camping since being converted an official Recreation Site.

Mount Boucherie

Volcanic conglomerate rock, it looks like it will crumble but is surprisingly solid. Great location for cold days or if you don't like walking. Very limited parking, be courteous not to block the utility building.
